With all the different issues going on right now, the call to action has been clear, but never more clear, than this past Friday evening; the evening “Notorious RBG” the Honorable Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg left us, still fighting the treachery in our nation and won the prize of a far more peaceful world. As many others have already stated, Justice Ginsburg fought for all the things that God said is right, righteous, and just. Friday, September 18th, 2020 was a day that was just a lot to handle; a friend called me back, about an hour after we had finished talking about the passing of RBG; crying and lamenting that this was all too much to handle, his nephew was just murdered on the same day they buried another family member, both over senseless gun violence. The day had already grown to be a lot to handle, but then Doug Collins, the Congressman from Georgia said this:
“RIP to the more than 30 million innocent babies that have been murdered during the decades that Ruth Bader Ginsburg defended pro-abortion laws. With @realDonaldTrump nominating a replacement that values human life, generations of unborn children have a chance to live.”
A Congressman, an elected “servant of the people” ( unbeknownst to him), a person who calls himself a former Military Chaplin/Minister, and claims to be a part of the “Evangelicals” (I’ll write about them another day) and who is now running for US Senate in Georgia, along with Unelected (but sitting in the seat), Kelly Loeffler who is also in the same frame of mind as Collins. I am asking everyone who reads this to really think about this, as Holy and Righteous and Just as God is, do you really think that the Triune would ever be as vile, evil hearted, disingenuous, and dangerous as this Congressman who again, is NOW running to be one of the Voices for and Representatives of Georgia. Some of todays’ set of “Evangelicals” and maybe even some Black “Evangelicals” are not following the ways and teachings of the God they claim to represent, and it shows. If the ways of how Trump Republicans today live out their lives are a representation of what a Christian should look like and how a Christian should act, Doug Collins and the rest who are just like him have inspired and encouraged me to NOT follow in their examples. Nothing about Doug Collins, Kelly Loeffler, or even David Perdue encourages me to be more Christ like than remembering the words of scripture in Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. I believe Collins skipped this Scripture in seminary school if he has ever gone before. If not, Mr. Collins please read the whole 2nd chapter of Philippians, and then try being a Real Christian, there is still time.
